A: 99.7 WIMI is now owned by Civic Media, a Wisconsin-based media company dedicated to providing quality hometown radio and digital content. Civic Media acquired WIMI from J&J Broadcasting in 2025 marking their expansion into Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The purchase is completed through the Michigan Civic Media Alliance, which is led by Civic Media with support from the Michigan Independent Media Group.
